What do I need to build and launch a model rocket?

Model rockets need different construction items.

Ready to fly rockets
These rockets won't need any construction supplies and at best need a little bit of time to attach the recovery system.

Beginner and easy rockets
These rockets will typically either slot together or need some basic construction supplies.
Below is our construction supplies set A that covers construction of most of these rockets.
You may need items such as.
   A good wood glue which is great for both wood and cardboard parts.
   Masking tape.
   A pencil.
   A ruler.
   Scissors.
   A small craft knife although usually you can manage without this.
   Poly cement plastic cement is also sometimes needed.
   Sandpaper.

Rockets that need more construction than easy rockets
Beyond the rockets mentioned above what you need can vary greatly! We include instructions on pretty much all our rocket listings in PDF format so you can check to see what else you might need. We also list the required options on most of our listings as well.

One of the main items for higher powered and larger rockets is moving up to epoxy glues. This glue comes in two parts that you mix together and have to use within the set working time.
We offer epoxy from 5 minutes to 30 minutes timescales.
Some of our most popular options are the BSI glues and Gorilla glue for use building rockets.
